This is an eletric album and a brilliant one, but hey so are all Mikes albums. It all starts of with Gossip with has the typical Stern sound. It features the great Michael Brecker on sax. Then on to Time In Place, a more mellow piece. Nice solo, I like it when Mike switches on his overdrive, and featuring Bob Berg on sax. The mood is turned down in Before You Go, a quality ballad, with some nice acoustic stuff in it, great melodic piece. After that a jazzy Stern signature piece. And then the piece of the album, After All. Great composition, great solo (overdrive again man, and a superb built-up). Four Shades, jazzy time again, great bass work, and a gem of a solo. Chromazone swings, kicks ass, Brecker on the sax, can't get any better then this.
